Exam Information
Exam style — CAT4 & school’s own exam.
Exam types:
CAT4 (verbal, non-verbal, spatial and quantitative reasoning)
English
Exam length — 72 minutes (CAT4).
The CAT4 test is composed of 8 short tests assessing the following subsections of the four areas above:
Figure Classification (10 mins)
Figure Matrices (10 mins)
Verbal Classification (8 mins)
Verbal Analogies (8 mins)
Number Analogies (10 mins)
Number Series (8 mins)
Figure Analysis (9 mins)
Figure Recognition (9 mins)
Pass mark — There is no fixed pass mark for the exam.
Other exam information:
Registration forms must be filled out online by the end of the December of year 6.
The entrance exams will take place in the January of Year 6.
Parents and pupils are invited to tour the school on open mornings/afternoons. This is an opportunity to meet the school staff and get an idea of what the school looks like.
As part of the admissions process, pupils will be invited to sit an age-appropriate interview and activity session with a senior staff member and will be required to provide a reference from their current school.
