Caistor Grammar School – 11 Plus Admissions
How to Apply for 11 Plus (11+) Entry to Caistor Grammar School?
Applications to sit the entrance exam must be made on the school website over the summer before your child begins Year 6. You can register here.
You must also formally apply for a place at the school before midnight on the 31st of October (when your child is in Year 6) to be considered. You can find out more about applying for secondary schools in your local area here.
Is Caistor Grammar School part of a Consortium?
Caistor Grammar School is part of the Lincolnshire Consortium of Grammar Schools.
Please note, while it is part of the consortium, all grammar schools in Lincolnshire except this school sit the same exams. If you are applying for Caistor Grammar School and any other grammar school in Lincolnshire, your child will have to sit two different sets of exams.
Does Caistor Grammar School have a catchment area?
Caistor Grammar School does have a catchment area, which gives priority to students who live within 6.5 miles in a straight line distance from the headmaster’s office to the applicant’s residence.
However, entry to the school is based firstly on the scores achieved in the 11+ tests.
How Does Place Allocation Work?
Where qualifying applications exceed the number of places available, places will be allocated in the following order of priority:
Qualified candidates who are in Public Care (Looked After Children).
Qualified candidates who live within 6.5 miles in a straight line distance from the headmaster’s office to the applicant’s residence.
Qualified children who do not fall into the above categories in order of entry exam scores (highest score first).
