How to Apply for 11 Plus (11+) Entry to Bourne Grammar School?
Applications to sit the entrance exam must be made on the school website over the summer before your child begins Year 6. You can register here.
You must also formally apply for a place at the school before midnight on the 31st of October (when your child is in Year 6) to be considered. You can find out more about applying for secondary schools in your local area here.

Bourne Grammar School does have a catchment area, which is based on distance from the school. However, entry to the school is based firstly on the scores achieved in the 11+ tests.
How Does Place Allocation Work?
Where qualifying applications exceed the number of places available, places will be allocated in the following order of priority:
The child is in public care or has previously been in public care.
There is a brother or sister on roll at the school at the time of application.
Children of school staff.
The distance from the home to school. Priority will be given to the child living nearest the school. The nearest address to the School is found by measuring the distance from your address to the School by straight-line distance.
