The pass mark for each year is decided after the tests have been marked.
Other Exam information
Each exam will cover a combination of all topics and consist of multiple choice and written answer questions.
Students will sit two papers, each lasting 50 minutes.

How to Apply for 11 Plus (11+) Entry to Colyton Grammar School?
Applications to sit the entrance exam must be made on the school website over the summer before your child begins Year 6. You can register here.
You must also formally apply for a place at the school before midnight on the 31st of October (when your child is in Year 6) to be considered. You can find out more about applying for secondary schools in your local area here.
Is Colyton Grammar School part of a Consortium?
Colyton Grammar School is not part of an 11 Plus consortium.
Does Colyton Grammar School have a catchment area?
Colyton Grammar School does not have a catchment area, however in the case of a tie, the location and distance of the child’s house to the school will be used to make the final decision. However, entry to the school is based firstly on the scores achieved in the 11+ tests.
How Does Place Allocation Work?
Where qualifying applications exceed the number of places available, places will be allocated in the following order of priority:
Looked After Children or previously Looked After Children who are on the eligible list.
Children on the eligible list who are entitled to pupil premium, including the service premium. Parents/guardians will be required to provide evidence of eligibility and the school may request confirmation from the applicant’s home local authority.
Rank order based on the total score achieved in the tests of children on the eligible list.
