Students will sit two rounds of exams.
First Round Entrance Exam:

The results of all parts of the first round of entrance exams are combined and ranked to determined who is invited back to round two.
Only the top 300 students will be invited to the second round of testing.
The results of both sets of exams will be used to determine the final rankings and place allocations for the school.

How to Apply for 11 Plus (11+) Entry to Henrietta Barnett School?
Applications to sit the entrance exam must be made on the school website over the summer before your child begins Year 6. You can register here.
You must also formally apply for a place at the school before midnight on the 31st of October (when your child is in Year 6) to be considered. You can find out more about applying for secondary schools in your local area here.

Henrietta Barnett School does have a catchment area, which is based on distance from the school. Students living within 3 miles of the school are prioritised. However, entry to the school is based firstly on the scores achieved in the 11+ tests.
How Does Place Allocation Work?
Where qualifying applications exceed the number of places available, places will be allocated in the following order of priority:
Children in care, or those who have previously been in care.
Children eligible for Pupil Premium funding (up to 20 students).
All remaining candidates in overall entrance exam score order.
