How to Apply for 11 Plus (11+) Entry to Poole Grammar School?

Applications to sit the entrance exam must be made on the school website over the summer before your child begins Year 6. You can register here.

How Does Place Allocation Work?

Where qualifying applications exceed the number of places available, places will be allocated in the following order of priority:

  1. Boys who are looked after or who have previously been looked after.

  2. Boys who live in the catchment area and who are currently entitled to the Pupil Premium.

  3. Boys who live outside the catchment area and who are currently entitled to the Pupil Premium.

  4. Boys who are the sons of current members of staff

  5. Boys who live in the catchment area in rank order of the entrance test scores, with those girls obtaining the highest scores given higher priority.

  6. Boys who live outside the catchment area in rank order of the entrance test scores, with those girls obtaining the highest scores given higher priority.
