How to Apply for 11 Plus (11+) Entry to Spalding Grammar School?
Applications to sit the entrance exam must be made on the school website over the summer before your child begins Year 6. You can register here.
You must also formally apply for a place at the school before midnight on the 31st of October (when your child is in Year 6) to be considered. You can find out more about applying for secondary schools in your local area here.

Spalding Grammar School does have a catchment area, which is based on distance from the school. The schools gives priority to those living in the following parishes:
Algarkirk, Cowbit, Crowland, Deeping St Nicholas, Fleet, Fosdyke, Gedney, Gedney Hill, Gosberton, Holbeach, Little Sutton, Long Sutton, Lutton, Moulton, Pinchbeck, Quadring, Spalding, Surfleet, Sutterton, Sutton Bridge, Sutton St Edmund, Sutton St James, Tydd St Mary, Weston and Whaplode.
However, entry to the school is based firstly on the scores achieved in the 11+ tests.
How Does Place Allocation Work?
Where qualifying applications exceed the number of places available, places will be allocated in the following order of priority:
Looked after children and all previously looked after children.
Children who live in Lincolnshire County Councilβs designated transport area for the School, defined as Spalding and the feeder Parishes of South Lincolnshire.
Children who live outside of Spalding and itβs feeder Parishes.
