How to Apply for 11 Plus (11+) Entry to Altrincham Grammar School for Girls?
Applications to sit the entrance exam must be made on the school website over the summer before your child begins Year 6. You can register here.

Altrincham Grammar School for Girls does have a catchment area which defined as an 8-mile radius from the main entrance of the school. However, entry to the school is based firstly on the scores achieved in the 11+ tests.
How Does Place Allocation Work?
Where qualifying applications exceed the number of places available, places will be allocated in the following order of priority:
Children who are looked after or previously looked after.
Applicants residing within the school’s catchment area who are in receipt of pupil premium.
Applicants residing within the school’s catchment area who have a sister who will be a pupil of the school at the time of the applicant’s proposed admission.
Applicants residing within the school’s catchment area. Where the number of applicants qualifying for admission under this category exceeds the number of places available, then priority shall be given to those applicants residing closer to the school.
Applicants residing outside the school’s catchment area who are in receipt of pupil premium. Where the number of applicants qualifying for admission under this category exceeds the number of places available, then priority shall be given to those applicants residing closer to the school.
