How to Apply for 11 Plus (11+) Entry to Colchester County High School for Girls?

Applications to sit the entrance exam must be made on the school website over the summer before your child begins Year 6. You can register here.

How Does Place Allocation Work?

Where qualifying applications exceed the number of places available, places will be allocated in the following order of priority:

  1. Looked after children or previously looked after children who pass the selection tests.

  2. Up to 20 places will be allocated to the highest scoring candidates who are eligible for the pupil premium.

  3. Up to 10 places will be allocated to the highest scoring candidates who are eligible for the service premium and live in the catchment area.

  4. Places will then be allocated based on selection test scoring, the highest first, in the catchment area.

  5. The remaining 38 places will be allocated based on selection test scoring, the highest first, regardless of where the girls live.
