How Does Place Allocation Work?
Where qualifying applications exceed the number of places available, places will be allocated in the following order of priority:
Looked after children/previously looked after children who achieve the qualifying score by rank order of standardised score;
Children in receipt of Pupil Premium, including children of service families, on the date of their entrance exam. The required academic standard will be 5% lower for Pupil Premium children.
Children who are on roll on the date of the entrance exam at one of the primary schools on the designated list.
Rank order according to the result of the entrance test (assuming the applicant has reached the required academic standard). In the event of a tie-break, to decide which of two equally scoring children are admitted, the school will use distance from the school.
